National Child Traumatic Stress Network
As proud members of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN), the CHAMP Network and its partners collaborate with the national organization to build capacity for trauma-informed practice, share learning across systems, and ensure that children and families receive appropriate, evidence-based care. This goal is facilitated by several NCTSN Center directors and the two co-directors of the National Center for Child Traumatic Stress, the coordinating Center of the NCTSN, who serve on the combined Advisory Committee of the CHAMP Network and the CHAMP Center.
Established by Congress and funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) is a national partnership of more than 120 academic, clinical, and community-based organizations across the United States dedicated to raising the standard of care and improving access to services for children, youth, and families impacted by trauma. The Network offers a wide range of resources and trainings, including:
A robust Learning Center that provides free e-learning courses with continuing-education credits for providers.
Comprehensive resource libraries covering trauma-related topics.
Evidence-based treatment models and practice frameworks designed to be implemented across service systems.
Specialized support for trauma in specific settings and populations, e.g., schools, juvenile justice, child welfare, health care, early childhood, etc.
Public-awareness materials and multilingual resources to support caregivers, families, and communities in responding to trauma.
